WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO
ABOUT
THE
EVENT
HONORING
RALPH
SCAMARDELLA

Pop.Earth is teaming up with LAVO, New York's premiere nightclub, to benefit Autism and Special Needs. The event will also honor TAO group's Chef Ralph Scamardella for his devotion to autism. Come join us for an amazing night of food, cocktails and music.

This event, benefitting our programs for Autism and Special Needs, is also celebrating Chef Ralph Scamardella's dedication towards our cause. Chef Scamardella is a board member of Pop.Earth, board chair of Eden Schools and a chef/partner of the TAO Group.

After nearly three decades of cooking in the kitchens of some of the most esteemed restaurants in the world, Chef Scamardella’s serves as Chef/Partner overseeing the restaurants for the world renown restaurant and nightclub owners and operators, TAO Group.

Born and raised in an Italian-American household in Brooklyn, New York, Chef Scamardella received many of his values from his heritage. With a father who grew up on a farm in Naples, Italy, fresh ingredients were mandatory, even in New York City. It was not long before a young Chef Scamardella saw his family’s old world cuisine given a new home.

Scamardella currently oversees restaurants in New York City, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. In New York, the collection includes LAVO Italian Restaurant, TAO Uptown, and TAO Downtown. Additionally, he supervises the kitchens at New York’s Dream Hotels, in which TAO Group owns and operates all food & beverage outlets.

Chef Scamardella is married and a father of four. His youngest son Michael is on the spectrum so autism is a cause near and dear to his heart. Despite an obviously busy schedule, he still makes time to support charities, most notably those championing autism.
